More expensive than Robert Lewandowski! Club Brugge snap up Lech Poznan star

Michal Skoras of Lech

Lech Poznan have made almost twice as much money from the sale of Michal Skoras as they did from Robert Lewandowski. Question is, will the Poland international live up to the hype in Belgium?

Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge have completed the signing of Lech Poznan winger Michal Skoras.

The 23-year-old Poland international made 48 appearances for Lech this season across all competition and bagged 15 goals along the way.

Seven of those goals came in the Europa Conference League as Lech made Polish football history by becoming the first Ekstraklasa club to reach a continental quarter-final since the turn of the century.

Skoras went to last year's World Cup with Poland and featured during the 2-0 defeat to Argentina in the group stage.

At the end of the season, the player will head to Belgium following an €8m move - a sum which makes him the fourth most expensive player in Ekstraklasa history.

Kacper Kozlowski and Jakub Moder currently top that list after being snapped up by Brighton for €11m each.
Jakub Kaminski, who also played for Lech, is third following his €10m move to Wolfsburg.

Following the announcement, Skoras said: "I came to the conclusion that this would be the best move for me.

"This is a place where I will be able to continue to develop my skills. Lech was able to mould me as a player, something I'm very grateful for.
"Before the end of the season, I want to show myself in the best light at the club. But even now I would like to thank all fans and all the people involved with Lech who kept their fingers crossed for me."
Lech have a history of exporting top talent to the wider continent. Arguably the best example is Robert Lewandowski who moved from Poznan to Borussia Dortmund in the 2010/11 season for €4.5m.
