Edin Terzic

Borussia Dortmund are set to embark on an exciting pre-season tour in the United States, with their eyes fixed on preparations for the upcoming 2023/24 Bundesliga season.

Borussia Dortmund's pre-season tour to the United States is well underway, as 30 players boarded the flight to San Diego on Monday afternoon.
In preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 Bundesliga season, Dortmund are set to play three friendly matches during their American trip. Coach Edin Terzic has carefully selected a 30-man squad, but there are notable omissions.
Despite their injuries, Gio Reyna and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens have made the journey to the United States. However, Mateu Morey and Soumaïla Coulibaly did not make the cut. The young defenders are currently dealing with muscular injuries and will train individually in Dortmund.
Adding to the intrigue, talented striker Julian Rijkhoff has also been left out, fuelling speculation about his future with Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Marcel Sabitzer is expected to join his new teammates in San Diego once his move from Bayern Munich to Dortmund is finalized. The Austrian international arrived in Dortmund on Monday for his medical tests, with both clubs already agreeing on the transfer fee.
Dortmund will face USL Championship side San Diego Loyal on Thursday. Subsequently, they'll take on Manchester United in Las Vegas on July 30, followed by a pre-season friendly against Chelsea in Chicago on August 2.
