Barcelona news: Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong join injury list after international break
Barcelona's injury list continues to grow with news that forward Memphis Depay and midfielder Frenkie de Jong returned from international duty injured.
Both suffered injuries during the Netherlands 2-0 victory in Poland and then did not play in the 1-0 win against Belgium in the UEFA Nations League.
The two players have now returned to Barcelona, having been released from the Dutch squad following medical tests confirming their injury woes.
The 28-year-old Depay is suffering from a thigh injury, while De Jong has a strain in the semitendinosus of his left thigh.
According to a Marca report, no time-frame had been given for their recoveries but both players are expected to be out of action for around two weeks.
The injured duo joins, Ronald Araujo who will undergo surgery on a thigh injury picked up on Uruguay duty.
Jules Kounde is also out injured in the France camp with a left hamstring strain, which could see him side-lined for four to five weeks.
