Andres Iniesta would love to rejoin Barcelona in the future

Former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta, who plays for Vissel Kobe in Japan, admits he would love a return to the Catalan Giants in a managerial role like current coach Xavi Hernandez.

The 38-year-old Iniesta left Barcelona in 2018 to join Vissel Kobe where he has remained ever-since.
Speaking to La Gazzetta in a recent interview, Iniesta admitted he would love to return to his former club, if at all possible, in the future.
"I will continue for another year here (in Japan) and then we will see," Iniesta said. "I would love to return to Barca, it is my home, but I still don't know in what capacity: manager, sporting director or something like that.
"In any case, the first thing I have to do is train and, at the moment, I still see myself as a player."
Iniesta gave no indication of where he saw his future role in football.
"It's nice to think that someone who has been and given so much to a club can continue doing so, even if they stop playing, but the appropriate conditions must be in place for it. You can't say 'I'm not going to do anything, but let me come back'."
The midfielder joined Barcelona's youth academy in 2001 and made his first team debut in 2002. Iniesta had a massive input in the Barcelona sides that won two historic trebles in 2009 and 2015.
He holds the all-time Spanish record, winning 35 trophies, including nine La Ligas and four UEFA Champions League titles.
