Single Game Survivor - Newcastle vs Tottenham

The race for the top four can take another big turn this weekend as Newcastle host Spurs at St James’ Park.

With millions on the line in terms of prize money, TV revenue and sponsorship - as well as the small matter of Champions League football attracting the best players - the difference between fourth and fifth in the Premier League is arguably one of the widest in sport.
Eddie Howe's Newcastle, who are currently in fourth - three points ahead of Spurs with a game in hand - can take a big step to securing their place in European football's elite if they seal the three points on Sunday.
But Harry Kane's men are plugging away despite a season of turmoil, and may yet spring a surprise.
Reckon you know how the game will go?

Then it's time to check out Single Game Survivor, our in-play prediction game where knowledge, bravery and nous are king!

Nail as many of the eight questions about how the game will go, and you'll be in with a chance of sharing the £1,000+ Prize Pool.

If you survive until half-time with your predictions intact, then you'll win guaranteed cash!
SGS is all about shots, goals, cards and the like - so here are some stats to arm yourself with as you head into the game.

Get your entries in by Sunday, April 23, at 2pm!

DEFEND, DEFEND, DEFEND

Manchester United's famous motto under Sir Alex Ferguson appears to have been re-interpreted by Newcastle this season.
The Toon - with Fabian Schar and Kieran Trippier so impressive - have conceded a league-leading, miserly 0.8 goals per game in 2022/23. Yep, better than Arsenal, City and United.
So think carefully when it comes to Kane and Spurs registering too many shots in this encounter.

HOT HEADS ON TYNESIDE?

Spurs are up there with the naughty boys this campaign, recording 62 yellow cards to date and three red cards.
They are also in the top six for most fouls per match, and if this game doesn't go their way, can Cristian Stellini's team keep it together?
Newcastle are angelic by comparison, so bear this in mind for any disciplinary questions you come across in SGS…

SUB STANDARD

SGS often asks you how the game will change, and subs are a vital part of that.
With their attacking squad strength, Howe has plenty of talent to bring on from the bench, and he isn't afraid to use it, with Callum Wilson and Joelinton part of four subs in the Toon's last home game against Man Utd.
For Spurs it's a different story, with Kane and Heung-Min Son often left on as long as possible with bench quality lacking.
Will this dynamic show itself again on Sunday?
