Alisson Becker's most iconic moments for Liverpool, Roma, Brazil...

From match-winning saves to match-winning goals, Brazilian keeper Alisson Becker has come a long way from his early days at Internacional.

Alisson Becker made headlines worldwide when he pounced in injury time to head home the winner for Liverpool at West Brom.
The Brazilian's stunning intervention kept the Reds' hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive and etched his name into a select group of goalscoring goalkeepers.
Becker is no stranger to the limelight, with the keeper widely regarded as being the missing link which transformed the Reds from contenders to Premier League champions.

A Brazil regular and widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Planet Sport looks back at his most iconic moments.

Breaking through at Internacional

Alisson made his debut for Internacional in 2013, playing nine games as a 20-year-old.
In 2014, his appearances increased to 28 but still he was not first choice.
In 2015, Alisson featured in 57 games in all competitions while establishing himself as one of the finest young goalkeepers in Brazil. It was an opinion shared by then Brazil manager Dunga who called him up to the national team for the first time.
He also won four consecutive Campeonato Gaucho's between 2013 and 2016 with Internacional, before an £8.5million transfer fee persuaded him to swap one Serie A for another.

Winning the Toulon tournament.

Alisson was involved in the Brazil youth set-up from a young age, first being capped at U-17 level in 2009 and winning three caps overall.
Four years later, he was called up to the U-21s for the annual Toulon Tournament. Brazil went on to win it, beating Colombia 1-0 in the final - Alisson's first piece of international silverware.

Five of Brazil's Toulon squad later went on to play for the senior Brazil team, although no one has enjoyed anything near the success of Alisson who currently has 44 caps to his name.

Making the move to Roma

Alisson joined Roma in the summer of 2016 but spent 2016/17 as understudy for Wojciech Szczesny, making just 15 appearances, none of which were in the league.

A year later, Szczesny returned to Arsenal and was subsequently sold to Juventus, leaving Alisson as the club's No. 1.

Forty-nine appearances followed in 2017/18, as did a host of individual accolades at the end of the season.
The Brazilian claimed places in the Champions League Squad of the Season and Serie A Team of the Year, as well as winning the league's award for Goalkeeper of the Year for his 17 clean sheets.
Former Roma goalkeeping coach Roberto Negrisolo heaped praise on Alisson, saying: "Is Alisson worth €50million? Don't be silly, he's worth far more than that...I don't think many people have realised who Alisson is. This guy is a phenomenon. He is the Number One of Number Ones. He is the Messi of goalkeepers, because he has the same mentality as Messi. He is a goalkeeper who can mark an era."

Winning the Champions League and Club World Cup

After Loris Karius' errors in the 2017/18 Champions League final, Liverpool swooped to land Alisson for £69million, a record for a keeper.

The price tag was not to prove a burden, however, with Alisson making 51 appearances in his first season on Merseyside.

Alisson started every one of Liverpool's Champions League games as Jurgen Klopp's side won the competition for the first time in 14 years.

Liverpool's victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid secured their place in the 2019 Club World Cup in Qatar, which they also went on to win.

Roberto Firmino's extra-time goal against Flamengo meant Alisson had picked up his first two major European honours in a matter of months.

Winning the Premier League

It was the title Liverpool fans so desperately craved and, after a 30-year wait, they finally got their hands on the trophy.
After the disappointment of coming so close the previous year, even the COVID-19 pandemic could not take the shine off the achievement.
Alisson played 29 times in the league, picking up the Best FIFA Goalkeeper and finishing seventh in the Ballon d'Or mid-way through the campaign.

Winning the Copa America

After failing to get past the group stage in the Copa America Centenario 2016 and then suffering a quarter-final defeat at the hands of Belgium in the 2018 World Cup, Alisson finally got his hands on a major international trophy 2019.

Alisson played in every game on Brazil's road to Copa America victory, including a quarter-final penalty shootout win over Paraguay.
With a phenomenal five clean sheets from six matches, he was awarded the Golden Glove and was included in the Team of the Tournament by CONCACAF.
