Alpine driver, Pierre Gasly, is bracing himself for "interesting" weather conditions at the upcoming Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.
Alpine driver Pierre Gasly is eagerly anticipating the unpredictable weather conditions set to challenge participants at the upcoming Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.
Following a series of impressive performances, including a decent seventh-place finish in Monaco, the Frenchman is determined to continue his success.
Gasly achieved his best qualifying result since joining Alpine, securing a fourth-place spot in Spain. Unfortunately, penalties for impeding incidents forced him to start from tenth on the grid. Nevertheless, Gasly remains optimistic about his prospects at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
After reflecting on his previous race at the conventional Barcelona circuit, Gasly remarked to media, "We're back to a street track in Montreal, which is really exciting. It's a fast circuit with significant braking zones and quick corners." Prepared and enthusiastic, he added, "I've been training in the Enstone simulator, feeling confident, and eagerly await Friday's track time."
Gasly acknowledged the likelihood of rain and expressed readiness for all conditions. He commented, "The weather does look interesting, so we'll be prepared for anything and strive for the best possible outcome."
Additionally, Gasly highlighted the enjoyable atmosphere in Montreal, a French-speaking city. He expressed his anticipation of the exceptional support he receives there, stating, "Montreal is a very fun place to be. I'm looking forward to immersing myself in the vibrant atmosphere."
