Ffos Las racing tip: Aces Wild to come good on turf

A competitive handicap in the Wednesday card at Ffos Las has attracted the attention of the Tipstrr camp with plenty of betting value to be had.

19:20 Ffos Las: C R J Electrical (South Wales) Handicap (6 furlongs)

With just seven coming to post, this competitive handicap sees all of the contenders carrying hopes of claiming victory.

Silent Flame is the early favourite, with Rod Millman dropping the six-year-old back down to a Class 6 after she struggled to impose herself in her first four outings of the season, all of which were of a higher level.

She is a course-distance winner, with that coming all the way back in 2021, and that was among much better company.

However she has been in poor form and the Tipstrr camp think it's best to look elsewhere.

John O'Shea's Some Nightmare is a course winner and will look to add to that tally here.

Like Silent Flame, Some Nightmare is dropping down in company and has won here before.

Last time out he was sixth of nine at Chepstow and prior to that he had back-to-back fifth place finishes.

The drop in company could turn some of those midfield finishes into a frame finish.

However our selection is Aces Wild, who looks the best of the bunch on paper.

Adrian Wintle's gelding has had a good run on the all-weather over the past few months and will be looking to transform that into performances on turf.

He's had two wins at Wolverhampton this year and also had a second in Chelmsford, so we know he has the calibre.

The main concern for Aces Wild is his form on turf as from only two outings he has failed to find the frame, but they were both Class 5 contests so he may have more of a chance here.

With the booking of David Probert, who boasts a 14 percent strike rate this year, Aces Wild could finally take his all-weather prowess onto the turf of Ffos Las.

Suggested best bet: Aces Wild in the 19:20 at Ffos Las
