Brighton racing tip: Billaki Mou looking to turn tables on firm favourite

There’s plenty in with a chance of landing this, and the buzz in the Tipstrr camp is that the favourite will not have things all his one way at the south coast track..
15:05 Brighton: At The Races App Form Study Apprentice Handicap (1 mile 2 furlongs)
If we can safely discount the five 16/1+ outsiders, then we are left with seven runners separated by barely three or four betting points, all holding realistic claims of landing this competitive apprentice handicap.
Standing out as a worthy market leader is Send In The Clouds, who won two of his last three outings, including a career-best performance at Bath 12 days ago, when seeing off eight rivals with almost five lengths in hand.
Of those most likely to challenge the favourite, Habanero Star is a previous course winner who won at Yarmouth recently before coming a respectable second at Goodwood three weeks ago, and looks sure to perform well in reapplied cheekpieces under Billy Loughnane.

Long Call should also be race fit after holding his own over hurdles recently, winning at Bangor in early August, while similar success on the Flat, including over this course and distance, suggests he’ll go well with the benefit of Mollie Phillips’ seven-pound claim.
Even better treated in the weights is Billaki Mou, who performed respectably when fourth behind today’s favourite Send In The Clouds at Bath last time out.
With Millie Wonnacott’s three-pound allowance this three-year-old gelding will be effectively half a stone better off against that day’s winner, and with a first-time hood applied to keep him focused, connections seem to be gearing up to a prominent run here.
It’s also worth noting that trainer George Baker boasts an impressive record at the Brighton track, with 70 of his 114 runners here making the each-way frame over the last five seasons, including 18 winners.
Suggested bet: Billaki Mou each-way in the 15:05 at Brighton
