There's two Grade 1 races on the telly this Saturday - the Mersey Novices' Hurdle (1355) and the Liverpool Hurdle (1505), as well as three Grade 3s.

But obviously all eyes will be on the most important Grade 3 of them all, the 2025 Grand National (1600).

Strap in for the biggest and arguably most exciting jumps race of the year, who will grab all the glory?

Let's begin with a quick run through of our ITV tips, with the reasons why we've picked them further down the page.

(Please be aware selections could become non-runners after article's latest update)

Saturday's Aintree tips:

13:20 (Aintree) Catch Him Derry

13:55 (Aintree) Lulamba

14:30 (Aintree) Myretown

15:05 (Aintree) Teahupoo

16:00 (Aintree Grand National) Iroko

13:20 (Aintree) Catch Him Derry

Dan Skelton won the William Hill Handicap Hurdle twelve months ago and could do so again with Catch Him Derry the pick of his runners after posting a solid third-place finish behind Jeriko Du Reponet in a competitive handicap hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Catch Him Derry stayed on from well off the pace that day and looks to hold major claims just 2lb higher while the latter-mentioned remains relatively unexposed in handicap hurdles of this nature and may get involved despite a 5lb higher mark.

Act Of Authority encountered an unbeaten G1-bound runner Wodhooh at the Cheltenham Festival last month. Respect under 8lb conditional Lewis Saunders.

Timmy Tuesday and Bill Joyce are others to note.

13:55 (Aintree) Lulamba

Nicky Henderson has opted to pitch Lulamba against older opposition in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle.

This could prove a wise move from the leading trainer who can be rewarded by watching his slightly unlucky G1 Triumph Hurdle runner-up go one better climbing in distance while receiving 10lb.

Fergal O'Brien trains Horaces Pearl who is five from five in his career. Commands respect stepping up in grade on the back of a smooth success attempting a novices hurdle at Newbury.

Impressive Leopardstown maiden hurdle winner Koktail Divin looks the pick of Irish challengers.

Miami Magic finished second two starts ago in the G1 Formby Novices Hurdle here on Boxing Day and warrants thought raised in trip.

14:30 (Aintree) Myretown

Myretown looked a graded performer in the making winning from the front a competitive handicap chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

With trainer Lucinda Russell can defy a 1st2lb rise in ratings in the William Hill Handicap Chase.

Imperial Saint caught the eye at Cheltenham before finishing fourth behind a G1 challenger attempting the 2m4 1/2f G2 Pendil Novices Chase at Kempton in February.

Three from three at this venue and holds strong form claims revisiting. Forecast decent ground will be a big plus to the chances of Peaky Boy who is better than he showed when tailed off making stable debut in the G2 Reynoldstown Novices Chase at Ascot.

Weveallbeencaught maintains strong each-way appeal.

15:05 (Aintree) Teahupoo

Teahupoo holds form and can win the Liverpool Hurdle.

There is no doubting credentials winning the Stayers Hurdle last year while did little wrong when runner-up in the defence of his crown at the Cheltenham Festival this time. Can make his first start here a successful one.

Willie Mullins trains the unexposed Kitzbuhel. Interesting now significantly up in distance on the back of a victory attempting the 2m G3 Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran.

Reigning champion Strong Leader has not been in top form this season however cannot be ignored back here with conditions to suit.

Home By The Lee also warrants notable consideration.

16:00 (Aintree) Grand National  - Iroko

The absence of Inothewayurthinkin has changed the complexion of the 2025 Grand National dramatically.

Owner JP McManus might still provide the winner thanks to Iroko who looks to have been trained for this all season.

Could prove to be on a handy mark after following home former G1 winner Grey Dawning over an inadequate trip at Kelso last time.

Winning the Irish Grand National last year Intense Raffles posted a good effort in defeat when second tackling the G3 Bobbyjo Handicap Chase at Gowran in latest.

Stumptown is hard to ignore after a victory in the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last month.

Defending champion I AM Maximus cannot be ignored despite carrying top weight, while Hewick and the unexposed Hyland are others to note.
