LADY CABERNET (8) booted up from the inside draw to race on the speed last time out but weakened to be beaten 7 lengths into 11th over 6f at Ascot. Expected to do much better. VILLAGE GIRL (1) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 6f at this track. Rates highly and should take some beating. BLITZEM BABE (10) is a consistent performer with three minor placings from three starts this prep. Produced another good effort at her most recent run when second over 6f at Kalgoorlie. Has the ability to figure prominently. POWERPOP (9) sat on the pace when fresh from a lay-off last start but faded to be beaten 6 lengths when ninth over 6f at Bunbury. Should be prominent despite the awkward gate. Sure to be thereabouts.
