SPELLCHECK (3) returns after three months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a seventh over 1m1/2f at this track. Good effort to open last prep when in the money at this track over 6f. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. WHISKEY N ICE (5) missed the frame last time out when fourth over 6f at this track. Still a maiden but has been in the money on three occasions. Has a good record at this distance with two top-three results from three starts. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Among the leading chances. LINDA'S OPAL (1) progressed nicely last time out to finish just one length from the winner in second over 6f at this track. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. GOLDEN BOSS (7) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6f at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Likely improver so plenty to like about her chances.
