CATHAY BRACELET (11) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 1.5 lengths when fourth over 7½f at Kilcoy two-and-a-half weeks ago after being prominent at the turn. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is capable of running a bold race. HAKATERE (4) turned in a moderate effort on debut last start when sixth at Eagle Farm over 7f, beaten 5 lengths. Watch for a much better performance this time. MEDICAL AUTOCRAT (5) was well fancied last start over 1m2 1/2f at Benalla when third, beaten 2 lengths. Draws ideally and worth another chance. BACKLIT BEAUTY (8) finished third last start over 1m at Gatton, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will benefit from that outing. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
