DUCHESS OF MILAN (5) did little and finished 8 lengths from the winner in eighth over 5½f at Gold Coast Poly last start, a less impressive effort than her fourth at Ipswich the run before. Has the talent to find the winners' list. THIEF BY NIGHT (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on December 9 finishing fourth and beaten 4 lengths over 6f at Texas. Should be hard to stop. ROMAN HEIR (3) is back at the races for the first time since October 22. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Beaudesert. Yet to win when resuming but generally runs well with two minor placings from four tries. Definite top-three chance. STRYKING PRINCESS (9) has been racing consistently including a last start second over 6f at Goondiwindi, beaten a head. Well placed and will be thereabouts again.
