Best form puts him right in this. JASON DARREN (4) is ready to break through after collecting his 5th minor placing in a row last time over 7½f at Hawkesbury after being prominent from the outset. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. SON OF RUBICK (3) steps up in trip and is backing up eight days after finishing third at Goulburn. Nice run last time and is a real danger. DARK STRATUM (7) finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in seventh at his most recent outing over 1m at Hawkesbury after he was well back on straightening. Rates highly in this field and can turn things around.
