ROMANTIC CHOICE (11) returned from a break last start and drifted well back before closing powerfully to score over 5f at Ballarat, getting home by one length. Should be in the finish again. ABADDON (3) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 2.5 lengths away in third over 6f at Echuca. Well-placed and should be tough to rein in again. LOOSE ON GIN (20) is a strong fresh performer back after a break of four months and looking to emulate his win at Hamilton to kick off the last campaign. Has found the right race to kick off the campaign. SASQUALAH (15) is a progressive galloper who is when resuming since finishing seventh over 6f at Moonee Valley six months ago. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Linda Meech stays aboard. Best figures stack up.
