MENZAH ONE (9) returns after six months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 5½f at Ballarat Synthetic. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Ballarat trial. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. THE CUBAN (5) is on the quick back up after sitting on the pace and boxing on well to finish second at Albury nine days ago. Inside draw will assist and is likely to be in the finish. COSMIC CHARGER (16) missed the frame when resuming last start over 6f at Moe but wasn't all that far from the winner. Will drift back but wind up late. Among the main hopes. RYANMAN (11) produced a fair effort on debut last time out when 3.5 lengths from the winner in fifth at Kyneton over 6f. Don't underestimate.
