JACKPOT STAR (9) is a three-year-old gelding at the races for the first time. From a strong family that has produced at black type level, being by Starcraft from Jackpot Queen. Has not trialled prior to coming here. Comes out of the the strong juvenile stable of Matthew Dale. Promising type who should make a bright start to his career. BOMERTON (6) will find this a little easier than his second on debut two-and-a-half weeks ago, beaten 3.5 lengths at the end of 6f at Wagga Riverside. Tricky draw to overcome but he should be in the finish again. AMBER STAR (5) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6f at Corowa, finishing third and beaten 4.5 lengths. Likely improver who is among the better chances. HOT TODDY (2) improved last time out, finishing 2.75 lengths from the winner in third over 5½f at Benalla. Looks to be in the right race so expect another big run.
