OBSIDIAN (1) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at his latest appearance over 1m1f at Turffontein Standside. Good effort to open last prep when in the money at Turffontein Inside over 1m. Well placed and happy to have him on top. GIMME A STORM (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Turffontein Inside, beaten 9 lengths into seventh after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. TRIP TO STATES (3) progressed nicely last start when he made late ground to finish a close third over 5¾f at Turffontein Standside after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. RED SEA HILLS (7) is a three-year-old colt on debut by Master Of My Fate from Sahara who has been a prolific producer of winners.
