BLAZE A WAY (4) is a progressive three-year-old gelding who hasn't raced since finishing second over 5f at this track on September 24 which was the only run of that prep. Has never been out of the placings when resuming from two tries. Gavin Lerena stays aboard. Best form puts him right in this. JOHN WICK (1) returned to winning form as favourite last start, scoring by 0.8 lengths over this journey at this track. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Rates highly and can measure up. VELDSKOEN (6) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5f at Turffontein Standside, beaten 4 lengths. Ready to go a couple better. JOHNNY APPLESEED (7) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at this track, beaten 5 lengths into fourth. No surprise to see him in the frame.
