JUST VAR (3) did a great job to score by one length over this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. No reason he cannot salute again. KOTINOS (4) returns after a lay-off of nine weeks. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 6f at Turffontein Inside. Rates highly and should take some beating. LAUGHING WILLIAM (2) finished 1.3 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 7½f at Vaal, an improvement on his sixth at this track the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. KING OF NUMBERS (5) made some progress last start to finish fourth over 6f at Vaal, beaten 1.75 lengths. Stepping up in distance this time and is capable of further improvement.
