GOOD COUNCIL (1) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at this track over 1m4f. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. Group 3 winner BLACK THORN (4) lines up on the back of a 3 length sixth over 1m6f at Kenilworth. Has a good record at this journey with three wins from eight starts. Will be hard to beat. Group 2 placegetter EAST COAST (3) finished fifth two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by 0.6 lengths as public elect over 1m2f at Vaal. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within his grasp. RED MAPLE (6) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 1m4f at this track. Finds a suitable race and can build on solid recent efforts.
