TO THE RESCUE (1) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1m2f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Has the class to build on that encouraging effort last start. KAROO GOLD (3) improved last time out, finishing 1.3 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1m2f at Vaal. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. FOREST GOD (8) was unplaced on debut then last start finished second over 1m at Turffontein Inside. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. Set Weights ORD OF MERCY (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 4 finishing seventh and beaten 11 lengths over 1m1f at Turffontein Inside. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
