LUTHER PASS (2) finished fourth when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out after being in the firing line on the corner to score by 4.5 lengths over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Finds an easier assignment and can make it back-to-back wins. HARBOR THUNDER (7) drifted back and never got into the race when 8 lengths from the winner in sixth last time out over 7½f at this track (Turf). Manuel Americano has never been out of the frame when aboard this five-year-old gelding so he should be given another chance. REGAL REDWOOD (6) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Pleasanton (Dirt) with success over 5½f at this track (Dirt) a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner.
