THOMPSON (3) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 1m at Louisiana Downs, beaten 7 lengths. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. HARBOR THUNDER (8) last appeared when he finished tenth over 1m at Del Mar (Turf) on August 22. Has ability and should be right in the finish. ZEN STATE (7) settled well back last start and made little impact in the straight when fourth, beaten 6 lengths, over this journey at Fresno (Dirt). Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. WAR ON THE WEST (5) turned in a modest performance when sixth last time out over 1m at Santa Anita, beaten 32 lengths, after a win at Del Mar at the previous outing. Well placed and can make amends.
