FIRE THE GUARD (3) is still a maiden after nine starts. Managed to find the placings at Northam two starts back when resuming before finishing ninth over 5f at Belmont Park last start. Well placed this line-up and might be his day. OCEAN OUTLAW (2) is a maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of ten weeks. Closed last campaign with a fifth over 5f at Pinjarra Scarpside, beaten 3.5 lengths. Fitter for two trials, placing most recently. Great chance to break through. MY GUARDIAN ANGEL (13) settled well back last start and never threatened when 13 lengths from the winner in 11th over 5f at Belmont Park. Has the class to take this out. SCENIC BOOM (8) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Northam, beaten 4.5 lengths into sixth. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
