PREFER THE WINK (6) accounted for a maiden field over 1m1/4f at Wauchope last start, finishing a long neck ahead of the nearest rival. No reason he cannot get the job done again. CASSIE'S LAD (4) recorded a strong maiden win over 1m at Quirindi last time, getting there by 10 lengths. Looks well placed and he cannot be underestimated. CASINO BEAR (1) wasn't far away last time out, finishing sixth over 1m at Coffs Harbour when he was handy all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Expected to run well. FIGHTING MAGNUS (2) has not won for a long while. Last raced on December 29 when beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth at Port Macquarie over 1m2f after being prominent at the corner. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping.
