SIMPLY SPARKLEZ (2) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2 lengths when sixth over 6½f at this track five weeks ago after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. LADY CEDERBERG (5) disappointed last time when seventh over 5f at this track after a close third at this track the run prior. Better suited at this shorter trip so should run well. IT'S MAUI'S GOLD (1) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a second over 5f at Mildura when beaten a nose. Has a good record here at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from eight starts. Has claims on his best efforts. IMMORTAL WEAPON (6) accounted for a maiden field over 5f at Mildura last start when fresh from a break. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders.
