BALASTIER (8) was well held in the Ken Russell Memorial Classic won by Althoff over 6f at this track at his last appearance six months ago. Has the early speed to cross from out wide. Best figures should see him run well. SHE OURS (14) is a promising filly yet to miss the frame after two starts, including a win. Has not been produced since she finished second over 5½f at Doomben on August 3. Drawn to go forward. Will prove tough to beat. GIN A TONIC (2) wasn't disgraced in city class last time when finishing fifth at Eagle Farm. Will appreciate a drop in grade. Sure to be competitive. KAHLISEE (4) is a handy type who resumes after a break of ten weeks. At her last appearance she finished fifth over 5½f at Doomben, beaten 4 lengths. Sharpened up by a recent trial placing. Has scored when resuming from a lay-off before. Meets easier opposition this time. Has to be respected in this company.
