GILIANA (8) broke through for her maiden win over 4f at Ipswich last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Aided by the rails draw and she cannot be discounted. GROOMED (2) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 0.8 lengths away in second over 5f at Toowoomba. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. STEP ALONG (11) was in contention on the corner and finished third last start over 5f at this track, beaten a long neck. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race. SPIRIT OF STORM (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6¼f at Newcastle, beaten 3.5 lengths into sixth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
