RED STAR RUBI (14) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2 lengths when fourth over 1m at Doomben six days ago. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. WARRANT (3) strode forward early from his wide draw last start over 1m1/2f at Ipswich only to fade late and finish seventh. Rates highly and expected to go well. GRANNY'S REWARD (2) found the line nicely to grab third last time out over 7f at Gatton. Best form puts her right in this. GULF OF SIDRA (12) settled at the rear then stoked up nicely in the straight to finish fifth over 7f here last time. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and the longer journey looks ideal. Well placed and is among the chances.
