CHAPARRAL CHASE (2) broke through for his maiden win over 7f at this track last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and he is a leading contender. ITALIAN DANCER (4) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 5f at this track, scoring by a nose. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Sure to prove tough to beat again with that win now under his belt. PIERATA'S GEM (5) was a winner over 6¾f at Doomben last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by a nose. One of the main contenders. CHAMIERRO (3) registered his first win last start over 6¾f at Ipswich, getting home by 1.2 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Martin Harley was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Harder this time but still one to consider.
