PORT ERIN (2) hasn't raced since a win at this track over 5f five weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a placing in a recent trial at Gold Coast. Likely to feature if at his best. Has found the right race and is expected to run well. BENGAL DIAMOND (9) started this campaign with a win two runs ago. Not as effective last time out when seventh over 5f197yards at Grafton, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Nicely placed to return to winning form. STEP ALONG (6) returned from a lay-off three weeks ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into fifth over 5½f at Doomben. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. SHAKO (1) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Jack Bruce yard. Most recently finished in the placings at Gosford before going for a break. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks nicely placed. Not to be underestimated.
