PORT ERIN (4) got off the mark when resuming from a lay-off over 5f at this track last start, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Sure to prove tough to beat again with that win now under his belt. SHAKO (3) finished third over 5½f at Gosford at his most recent appearance on February 24. Lines up. For the first time for trainer jack bruce. Has ability and should be right in the finish. BEACHSIDE BABE (5) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at Sunshine Coast Poly two starts back then got the job done by a nose last time out over 5½f at Sunshine Coast Poly. Samantha Collett scored on her last time and retains the ride. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. GREAT BARRIER REEF (1) hasn't raced since a win at this track over 5f five weeks ago. Ticking over well with a subsequent trial win at Doomben. Likely to feature in the finish.
