IL TORO D'ORO (3) is a 15-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4.5 lengths when fourth over 1m at this track. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be tough to hold out. THE MANAGER (11) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a second last start over 7½f at Warwick after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. SHADED (10) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing a nose from the winner in second over 7f at Sunshine Coast Poly. Expected to feature with improvement to come. MIDORI MOVER (15) finished fourth over 6¾f at Ipswich when resuming last start, beaten only 1.4 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
