MAMIE'S LAST HOPE (5) was well found in the betting last time out but could only manage to finish eighth over 6½f at Sunland Park (Dirt) in a disappointing performance. Must raise the bar but a better run will not surprise. SERPICO R S S (1) showed good early speed and led into the straight before fading to finish fourth, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 3f213yards at Sunland Park (Dirt). Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and is a leading contender. TEE ROY (4) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 3.5 lengths when seventh in a 3f213yards contest at Sunland Park two-and-a-half weeks ago. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. HOT CHARLIE (2) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 4½f at this track. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
