SCORPION SHOT (2) returned from a lay-off five weeks ago when he was beaten 10 lengths into sixth over 1m at Los Alamitos. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a major player. MR MAKUNOUCHI (10) hit the frame two starts ago at Zia Park but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 11 lengths over 6½f at Zia Park (Dirt). Finds a nice race and can find winning form. RAIL RUNNER (9) settled well back then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 10 lengths away in sixth last time out over 6½f at this track eight days ago. Steps up in journey. Leading hope. JETFIRE (3) finished 32 lengths from the winner in ninth at his most recent outing over 6½f at Zia Park (Dirt) after he got a long way back in the run. Finds the right race and is worth consideration.
