ON THE SCENT (6) ran on strongly only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6¾f at this track. Will take a lot from that hitout. Placed to advantage and can run another bold race. ICONIC JEWEL (10) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1m at this track. Has race fitness on her side now. Going well and has bright prospects. MR FERRARI (3) was never really in the hunt last time, drifting back early and winding up 8 lengths from the winner in ninth over 7¾f at Bordertown. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but has winning claims. ARTISTIC GAL (7) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 1.4 lengths away in third over 7¾f at Bordertown. Well placed and will be thereabouts again.
