CRYPTIC GEM (8) debuted two weeks ago when she finished sixth over 5½f at this track, beaten 2 lengths. Can improve sharply and is expected to feature. AMARA VALENCIA (6) is still a maiden after five runs. Was well in commission last time out but after being in contention on the corner didn't live up to market expectations, finishing eighth over 7f at Sale. Likely to be in the finish in this suitable assignment. BON'S A LAD (5) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Could only manage to finish seventh at the latest run over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic. Rates highly on best figures and should be right in this. MISS LIL (7) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when she was beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth over 5½f at this track. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
