MANTUA (15) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 0.8 lengths over 5f at Sandown-Hillside. That continued the solid form this campaign, with two wins and two minor placings from four runs. Top chance again. SHIRSHOV (3) led to the turn over 5½f at Flemington last time out but faded to finish 11th. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Likely to feature. DIAMOND DECORATOR (14) lines up for the first time since June 29. Looking to emulate her win at Caulfield to kick off the last campaign. Among the better hopes. JEWEL BAY (10) is back after a break of four-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5f at Caulfield Heath. Has to be respected.
