COWBOY MIKE (3) returns from a lay-off of four months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when fourth over 1m in stakes class at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Has a fine record here with two wins from six starts. Bold showing expected. CODE DUELLO (2) showed good speed and led for much of the way before being claimed in the straight and fading to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6½f here last time. Takes on much easier opposition this time. Major player. CLAMPETT (1) was prominent at the turn and finished second last start over 1m at Los Alamitos (Dirt), beaten half a length. Nicely placed to go one better. SAQEEL (4) was narrowly beaten into second when second up last start at Del Mar (Dirt) over 1m. Should park just off the speed. Sure to be thereabouts.
