PURE PASSION (8) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 6f in the LR St Albans Stakes at Moonee Valley. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Pakenham trial. Nicely placed and expected to go well. YAMASHITA'S GOLD (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 5f at Moonee Valley, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. GUNZ (2) has been kept fresh since filling a minor placing at Bendigo over 5f six-and-a-half weeks ago. Looks to be ticking over nicely judging by a recent trial win at Bendigo. One of the likely contenders.
