HARD GOLD (8) made progress last start to finish second over 6f at this track after being in contention on the turn. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. PICKINGUPSTRANGERS (1) settled well back last start and made little impact in the straight when fifth, beaten 11 lengths, over this journey at this track (Dirt). Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. MY BUDDY MEL (6) has been out of the placings in tougher races at his last two outings, the latest when fifth in stakes class in Listed grade at this track (Dirt). Forgive the last couple in tougher assignments. Can bounce back. CANATLAN (2) turned in another moderate effort last start when 9 lengths from the winner in eighth over 6½f at this track. Has his share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
