LOUIS BARTHAS (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on 20/09/2024, finishing fifth and beaten 9 lengths over 7f in the LR Dubai Duty Free Cup at Newbury. Has switched to the Nick Ryan stable. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. AHHA AHHA (9) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Colac two starts back when resuming before finishing seventh over 5½f at Flemington last start. Among the leading chances. AQUILION GIRL (7) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5f at Cranbourne, beaten 2.75 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but she deserves her chance. ZOUTARA (11) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 3 lengths when fourth over 5½f at Bendigo a week-and-a-half ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a tougher race but a big run is on the cards.
