Group 3 placegetter NODACHI (7) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 10 starts. Was again denied last start when she found one better over 6f at Cranbourne. Nicely placed to figure in the outcome. KOROBEINIKI (5) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by one length over 7f at Pakenham. Open to plenty of improvement and is expected to run well again. ZASCEED (6) finished third last start over 7f at Bendigo, beaten 2.75 lengths. Worth noting Zac Spain goes aboard. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. SHOELESS (8) is back from a lay-off of five months. Closed last prep with a second, beaten a nose, over 7f at Pakenham. Capable of playing a big role.
