SNAZZY SNITZEL (1) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the John Poots barn. Finished off last campaign with a fifth at Coffs Harbour 20 months ago. Fitter for a trial win at Rockhampton and looks well placed. Can make a winning return. LAMENTUM (6) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 5.5 lengths when sixth over 5½f at Doomben. Plenty of scope for improvement and is a great chance to break through. LIKE SMOKE (7) turned in a decent effort last start when he made late ground to finish second over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Has the talent to find the winners' list. ARACELI (8) made progress last start to finish third over 5¼f at this track. Suitably placed so she can be prominent again.
