Looks well placed so expect another big run. THOUSAND SPRINGS (8) did well to score at Prairie Meadows two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when prominent at the bend before finishing second over 1m1/4f at Prairie Meadows, beaten 0.8 lengths. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. JOHNNY APPLESEED (7) finished 2.75 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at this track three weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Strong top-three chance. SMARTY BALL (9) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten a nose. Taking on a better field but he is capable of a big run.
