SPANGLER (19) settled well back then made a little ground and finished 4 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6½f at Newcastle when resuming from a lay-off. Tackles a longer journey this time. Steps up sharply in class but is capable of featuring. ESTADIO MESTALLA (18) finished second two runs back in the Little Dance at this track then improved last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 1m at Kembla Grange. Meeting a deeper field this time but he can win again. TAVI TIME (22) found a couple better last start at Kembla Grange over this distance. Has a very good record over this journey with four wins from seven starts. Will find this much tougher but he should be very competitive. NEW ENERGY (6) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by a neck over 1m1f in the G3 Eclipse Stakes at Caulfield. Tougher assignment this time but cannot be underestimated.
