DUKE OF BRONTE (1) started at 9/4 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 2.25 lengths at Kembla Grange over 5f after being in contention on the corner. This is a nice drop in grade so he will be hard to beat. BRIDIE'S LUCK (16) showed good early speed when resuming last start over this journey at Tatura before finishing second, beaten a nose. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is right in contention. OUTBACK ANGEL (11) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished seventh when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Albury then improved and scored over 4½f at Albury five weeks ago, getting home by 3.5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is one of the key runners. TAI LUNG (6) caught the eye last start over 5f at Kembla Grange, coming from well back to finish half a length from the winner in second. Rachel King stays on and although yet to win has been in the money on three occasions. Solid claims on best form.
