CASUAL CONNECTION (8) had been performing well prior to finishing 4.5 lengths from the winner in sixth last start over 1m1f at Hawkesbury. Worth another chance. MARSABIT (10) finished 5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1m2f at Wagga three weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Takes on a much tougher assignment but a bold showing is expected. FAY'S ANGELS (5) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start over 1m3f at Newcastle, beaten 1.3 lengths. That followed a win at Randwick Kensington the start prior. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. FUNAMBULIST (9) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a third, beaten 0.9 lengths, over 1m3f at Newcastle. Will find this tougher but must be respected.
